TOP GUN 2001
Welcome to Propwash Video’s 13th year of covering the most prestigious event in Scale R/C Aviation. We are pleased to be able to offer you another 2 volume set for the most complete coverage available. Top Gun 2001 was one for the history books. There were incredible aircraft and a truly international lineup of competitors with pilots who came from Singapore, Germany as well as a number of South American Countries. Top Gun 2001 also had a sad note. It was the last time that it would be held at Palm Beach Polo, ending an 11 year run at this superb facility. Terry Nitsch, flying his Rafale, won both Expert and the coveted title of Mr. Top Gun 2001. Designer Scale was won by Jeff Foley with his BF-109, redone in desert configuration, and the top place in Team Scale went to Dean DiGiorgio and Bill Stevik with their incredibly detailed P-51. Many of our viewers have indicated to us that they wanted us to spend more time on static shots to highlight the incredible detail that is featured on some of these magnificent machines and, this year, we listened. Our program features over 1,500 static clips, taken with new very compact digital cameras. You’ll see wheel well and cockpit detail shot that will knock your socks off. Additionally, there are some great in-depth interviews, lots of flight footage, the best of the noontime entertainment and awards coverage. And, for the 12th year in a row, our Narrator is Mr. Frank Tiano, Top Gun Promoter and one of the most knowledgeable individuals in our sport. Frank presents the viewer with meaningful commentary on each airplane, pilot and the competition. Almost 4 hours of action. Don’t miss it!
